So excited! I like to think of this episode as the true start to the show as we will get to know it. The first two episodes are more of a prologue movie giving "context" to Michael's journey and the state of the Federation at large. Here is when we finally meet Discovery, both the ship and crew. Disco is a little different in that the main characters are not just the bridge crew like in other Trek shows. Instead the show has mains that are half bridge crew and half lower decks crew with Michael, technically a non-crew member, as the protagonist. It's a very unique setup that some people had a hard time getting use to but I personally loved. Now for fun stuff...How sick was that monster on the abandoned ship sequence? I loved every second of that. It was like a space horror. I also thought the fight scene in the mess hall was pretty dope. Michael practices a form of Vulcan martial arts called Suus Mahna. I'm not an expert at all but it seems to rely on efficient and quick moves combined with Vulcan pressure points to quickly disable or avoid your opponent.

Loved The Reaction, Michael's Journey Has Started. It's A Long Journey To Redemption With Lots Of Twists And Turns. Next Episode Will Explain Some Details About The Creature On-Board, Also Tilly Is One Of My Favourite Characters And Her Interactions With Michael Is A Nice Contrast.
