I really like this show, I think it is far better than the average CW type show, better than Flash, Supergirl, Arrow, Batwoman all of the CW shows, except for Superman & Lois. I think Brec Bassinger is doing great as Stargirl, she is honestly the perfect Stargirl, she is capturing who Stargirl is and what the creator of Stargirl, Geoff Johns wanted for Stargirl, who he modeled the Name and Personality of, after his sister Courtney, who sadly died in a plane explosion at the age of 18. She is very likeable and determined, although as a character she still needs to learn that things won't be as easy as she thinks it will and they definitely need to practice more. They are making a lot of mistakes, using each others names in public and almost shutting the power off to the hospital. The staff is like... you need a distraction, here I'll knock stuff over but do NOT shut the power off, life support people, life support. The Cosmic Staff is sentient and I actually like the staff having it's own personality and connecting with Courtney, the staff has existed for a long time in the comics, since the 60's, but I don't know much about it or some of the other characters from this show. I know about Stargirl, because of Smallville, then when I heard why she was created, I paid more attention to Stargirl stories, I know the original Wildcat Ted Grant, because of Arrow, but don't know much more about Wildcat, which is who Yolanda is now. I don't have a problem with the WIldcat suit changing itself to fit Yolanda, we didn't really need another scene of Courtney tailoring a suit like we did with hers. Also, the suit might help with balance and climbing walls, but they clearly still have a lot to learn, so I don't think that's done yet. Speaking of Yolanda, I have a serious problem with her family, they suck, other than her brother. When those pictures were shown to the school and she was being shamed and ridiculed, she needed her family's support, not there judgement and shaming and there total disdain for there daughter who their supposed to love. When they doubled down on there behavior after her speech, I thought, nope they are the worst and I officially can't stand them or understand them. Great reaction, I do hope you get to see more of the show soon, I think it will be easier to connect to the show and characters if you don't have to wait 2 years between episodes.
