Shocker at the start with Martha's surprise appearance, and shocker at the end with Owen being shot in the chest! Pretty nice episode to mark the halfway point of this season. For context, this storyline takes place some point after Martha leaves the Doctor (end of S3) but before she calls the Doctor back to help deal with Atmos and Sontarans (S4xE4) I don't know if it was intentional or not, but I do like the double meaning of the title "Reset." Obviously it is the name of the drug, but is it also implying a team "reset" too? Torchwood has seemingly lost their MD, just as another MD has temporarily joined the team. Could they be setting up Martha to be Owen's replacement? These are some of the thoughts I had running through my head when I watched this episode for the first time. I know what happens next and have my answers, so I'll leave it now for you to see if you get any questions answered. Great reaction, looking forward to the next one.

Caught up on the Torchwood reactions finally. One issue I had with this show when I was watching it with Rhys and Gwen, was I wanted them to make a choice, either get rid of him or go all in on Rhys and Gwen, because they kept making him likeable but kept having problems happen with Gwen. I feel like originally they didn't plan on having him stay on the show, but they must have liked working with him and I know some of the audience liked him, so I think that episode when Rhys found out the truth was there way of starting to fix Rhys and Gwen's relationship, because they wanted him to stay and the biggest cause of all there issues was Rhys not being allowed to know the truth. The episode after that one, did initially irritate me when Gwen's memories were erased, I was thinking he just found out the truth, they just started fixing their relationship and now she doesn't remember him and she's pointing a gun at him, come on. But I kind of ended up liking what they did with the rest of the episode, the memories being gone allowed us to find out more about their relationship and how it started, through him trying to help her remember, plus we got to see her get the memories back as well as start to fall for him again, even without the memories, which I also think was good for his confidence, then I also liked that we got to see that her core memories, the thing that helped her remember herself was all Rhys. We also learned that Owen's core memories, were that his mother didn't really care about him, which explains a lot about who he is. One problem I have though, I know they established that everyone loves Jack and wants to be with him or at least know what it's like to be, they even had Martha asking questions about what it's like in this episode. But could they just not do any of that with Gwen, they've seemingly decided to go all in on Rhys and Gwen, so just don't do any of that with Jack, even though they established that's how it always works with him. I also kind of liked the Owen and Tosh thing, especially since they decided to actually keep it an ongoing story for several episodes, unlike what they did in season one, where Tosh was shown to have a bit of a thing for Owen, then in the episode where she could hear thoughts, she was hurt when she found out how he felt about her, then the show just stopped talking about it. I think the previous episode was fantastic, it was really well done, when Adam tried to turn Ianto into a killer, that was so dark and disturbing, also when Adam destroyed and stole Jacks memories of his father that was heartbreaking to watch for Jack. Again though, this show with consent issues, with Tosh being forced into a relationship with Adam against her will. This episode was pretty good, it had some interesting ideas, I loved seeing Martha again, then the Shock ending with Owen being shot and possibly dead, that was unexpected. I've seen the actor who played the scientist in so many things, including The O.C., Once Upon a Time, NCIS, 24, Ugly Betty and just a lot of other shows and movies, I guess you want to hire someone who's been in a lot of things, if he's going to be the guy to seemingly kill one of your main characters. Great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
