So like I said in a previous comment, fuck Valentino. He’s a despicable piece of shit and he deserves everything that’s coming to him. Now with that aside, this episode was an absolute masterpiece in my opinion. Up until this point, I really enjoyed the show, but it was this episode that made it one of my all time favorites. Hazbin is already a pretty dark show, but I really appreciate how this episode didn’t shy away from its darker subject matter. I felt so horrible for Angel and this episode really shined a different light on him as a character. Speaking of which, Angel and Husk were characters I liked fine enough when I started the show, but after this episode they have skyrocketed to my favorite characters. It’s well known at this point that Keith David is an amazing actor and his performance as Husk is no exception. However, Blake Roman absolutely blew me away as Angel Dust. The actor is relatively young, with this even being his first ever role, so it was incredible to see this newcomer share an episode with a voice acting legend like Keith and be just as good. They both deserve awards for their performances in this episode. Lastly, I absolutely love Loser, Baby as a song. Not only is it a super catchy song that I have been listening to on loop, but it’s also the thing that helped me come out as Bi. The lyrics “It’s time to lose your self-loathing, excuse yourself let hope in. Play your cards. Be who you are” were so impactful especially. Great reaction as always. This was the episode I was excited for you to see the most and I’m so glad you liked it. Can’t wait for the next one.
