I’ve never seen Better Call Saul. So whenever I see Bob Odenkirk I immediately think of Mark or “Michael 2” and how spot on his character was. It’s basically Michael Scott if he knew how to play a guitar and didn’t know how to pause in between sentences.

Interesting fact: Bob Odenkirk actually auditioned for Michael originally but was the runner-up to Carrell so they brought him back for this. Also, the Dwight/Angela storyline was a kind of preview of what a spin-off the creators were toying with called 'The Farm' could be as it all would revolve around Dwight's beet farm. The show did not get made but you do see what could have been a first episode to it as one of the following episodes in the show. It has all of its Schrutey-ness to it.
