Totally agree with SeeJay, season 9 is my all time favorite so I'm really excited. I've actually been looking forward to seeing you get to it this entire time. Hopefully that's not hyping it up too much lol. I really loved the way they mirrored the 11th doctors final episode with them celebrating Christmas by reminiscing on what they'd done since the last time they saw each other, down to the pulling of the Christmas cracker. I admit it had me tearing up since I really thought it was Clara's send off because they were doing all that. I know a lot of fans soured on Clara while they were airing season 8 but she's always been in my top 2 companions with Rory so the thought of her being written out like this after some of the hate she was getting at the time made it more emotional for me. I agree this is one of their strongest Christmas episodes and I loved the way they tied in Santa Claus and Danny into it. Also, one of my favorite lines of the show was in this one, "There's a horror movie called Alien? That's really offensive, no wonder everyone keeps invading you." 10/10 delivery from Capaldi.

RJ calling y'all Doctor Who "Veterans" is so great! For sure, you are Veterans by now. Y'all know how this show works, you know about companions (and how they come and go), about regenerations and everything. Kudos to you! Ricardo and SeeJay mentioned that The Doctor helped Clara pull the cracker when she had done that before for 11 and like them I gotta say that it always gets in the feels hard. Very good episode, great reaction, let's continue to have fun!
