I loved the bonding between Robby and Johnny. Robby finally opened up about his feelings in the finale last season and Johnny didn't do what he used to, instead of listening to Robby and then immediately being like, now I got to go find Miguel, bye Robby, he took Robby with him. Now maybe he should have told Robby that they were looking for Miguel and not lied to him, but baby steps, at least he took him with him, I also love that Robby decided to stay and help find Miguel. I kind of thought we wouldn't see Miguel right away, that they were maybe using the going to Mexico to find his dad story, as a way of writing him out for now, since he was in Blue Beetle, but first episode and here's Miguel, he found his dad faster than I thought he would as well. I know Miguel kind of got angry at Sam during the phone conversation, honestly pretty much every reactor I've seen also gets angry at her. But to be fair I do think everyone was probably a little angry at Miguel for just disappearing to Mexico without telling anyone, also she did ask him a lot of questions, like, where he was?, if he was okay? what was going on? did he find his dad yet? before Karate was brought up and he did kind of trivialize a thing that, to him doesn't mean as much, but to her is definitely a pretty big deal with her family being in danger and a lot of the responsibility being unintentionally put on her shoulders last season. Which is not that easy to get over, especially if you feel like all your friends and family are in danger, your dad lost something he loved with Miyagi-Do and Cobra Kai is going to hurt a lot of people all because of you. Which again, I wish someone would make a little more clear to her, is not all on her, a lot of other people in Miyagi-Do and Eagle Fang also lost in the tournament, because I feel like Daniel saying don't worry, it's not your fault, it's mine, I have to fix it, the end, no further discussion, isn't really going to work, I feel like people need to have further and continuing discussions about these things and maybe suggest therapy, just bringing that up again, I mean she was having pretty bad panic attacks, one conversation with her dad, isn't really going to just make that all go away. Everyone's gone through so much trauma with broken arms, broken backs, people being thrown threw windows, being permanently scarred during possible attempted murder, why does no one really every bring up therapy. Chozen is kind of great by the way, great reaction, I look forward to the next one.
