Another great episode from this season. So after Clara feeling betrayed by the Doctor in Kill the Moon, we essentially have the pay off from that with Clara being forced to take on the role of the Doctor. I really love that with each episode since then, Clara is understanding more and more how the Doctor thinks. I also love that Clara get's her very own companion here, Rigsy. The Doctor isn't too happy about Clara's lies, and I'm not sure Danny will be either if he works it out. The first train had the number A113, which is a nod to Pixar who use this a lot. A113 is a classroom at the California Institute of Technical Arts where many of the Pixar animators studied. Next time you watch a Disney Pixar movie, look out for A113. Speaking of Technical Arts, the FX team in this episode were on fire, they did an AMAZING job!!

I thought this was a really great episode, it was creepy, had a really interesting idea and great effects. It was fun watching Clara be the Doctor and have her own companion, she was really good at it, maybe a little to good at it. At least that's what I think the Doctor meant with his comment to her "Goodness had nothing to do with it." Companions, usually help the Doctor stay grounded and remind him of his humanity, I feel like the Doctor kind of wants his companions to be better than him, but maybe it's going the other way around a little bit, with the Doctor teaching her to be a little less grounded and a little less in touch with humanity. Like with her bigger picture comments, sure some people died, but we saved the world, usually she wouldn't think about it in the bigger picture way like the Doctor, she would be a little more focused on the people who died along the way, reminding the Doctor to think about and remember them, plus she's quick to lie to people now, like the Doctor does to get them to do what he needs them to do, which is something she wasn't so quick to do before. I think he's proud of her but also a little sad that she was able to become him so easily. Also, just feel like adding, just in case this sounds a little negative about Clara, she's my second favorite companion next to the Ponds, Amy and Rory, so definitely not negative about her. Just what I was thinking when I watched this episode the first time and was wondering what the Doctor meant when he said that and why he seemed upset. Great Reaction, I look forward to the next one.
