Another brilliant reaction! Incase you didn’t see my comment, thanks for the shoutout in the previous reaction! I am determined to get this show in rotation this month🤣 Ok, so this episode, Franklyn is so funny to me because of how pathetic he is and the parallels the episode keeps making between his and Hannibal’s relationship to Hannibal’s relationship with Bedelia (played by the stunning Gillian Anderson) and his relationship with Will. You will be seeing a lot more of Gillian Anderson but I won’t spoil it. I love how Hannibal keeps the business cards so he can look up which person he pairs with what dish. Janice Poon designed the food and wrote a cookbook based on the meals. I think Hannibal is too intelligent to murder his patients but he takes great joy in manipulating them. I can’t help but laugh every time I watch the scene with Hannibal waiting for Will to arrive for his appointment and the dramatic music playing in the background. That man is so desperate, he drove an hour to find Will! There are definitely comparisons between Hannibal and Franklyn here. I do think when Will is watching Hannibal save that man his subconscious is picking up on something, or he’s just attracted to Hannibal with his sleeves rolled up! Will is lonely, unbalanced and is looking for that paddle which Hannibal provides, that could be part of the reason he doesn’t accuse Hannibal, he may be blinding himself. JRabbit is right, Hannibal is messing with them. Just wait and see what happens with Miriam! Hannibal usually sticks to only eating the rude.
