Hey patrons!

We've been doing this Patreon thing for several months now and we've been having a pretty good time, but we figured it was about time to check in with all of you. How are you feeling? Are you enjoying what we're posting? Are there things we could add or do more of? Are there things we should stop doing? Do you have any other questions or concerns about this Patreon thing? Are you having a nice day?

We want to make this the best thing we possibly can for you all and you can help us do that by telling us what to do! (we're working on getting more downloads of older tracks VERY SOON WE PROMISE)

Feel free to comment here or send us a private message with any thoughts, praise, gripes, etc

HelloBros! I'm personally quite satisfied with my Patreon pledges here (you are the only ones I Patreon-ize), and honestly that would be true even if you didn't post any Patreon stuff, because the main value for me is the knowledge that I'm supporting your work (and play). However, given that perks are sure to draw more of a crowd than no perks, here's some more specific feedback: My favorite Patreon perks are the monthly live stream, the stems (both new and old), and the behind the scenes stuff. The reason I like the live stream is because it is (mostly) not prepared content. Your published works are so finely honed, and typically have such extremely high musical and entertainment density that I appreciate the opportunity to watch you do something as simple as form a sentence or respond to a question. The "in the moment" stream-of-consciousness vibe is kind of the polar opposite of a polished collaborative work, and provides some unique insights. This leads me to my suggestion: consider the possibility of posting more content about things like creative processes, motivations, challenges, values... - the idea being that such posts might be ideally packaged as vignettes and with little expectation of completeness or polish. I almost used the word "serious" in that last paragraph. I certainly appreciate the "how to music" videos and such, even though I suspect they may not be completely factual (I won't tell you how many box fans I've gone through...). As a person who is various kinds of nerds (music, computer, video production), I would also dig more nitty-gritty detailed stuff, like... I dunno... recounting (or video recordings?!) of friendly yet impassioned disagreements amongst bros about how to best resolve a particular series of chord changes, or early prototype rehearsals of some passage that doesn't necessarily spill the beans. The general idea is that it's ok for such content to be rough, which hopefully means this can be done fairly easily and without consuming too much time. Also, I totally appreciate the effort and attention you're giving to this, and your general capacity for introspection. You are wise well beyond your earth years :) Honestly, I myself feel a little guilty for not spending more time here, as I believe there is a huge potential for positive interaction and creativity amongst your fans. I've been thinking about things like exactly what sort of collaborative activities or pursuits would fit well in this environment, and I have some ideas, but nothing worth yelling about yet - so I will keep thinking. Cheers all! And thanks, I'm having a pretty good day - hopefully you are as well!
