hi everyone, i hope you're all doing okay! as i mentioned in my earlier post, i've miscounted my days slightly- thought i had an extra week in between certain things that i didn't. because of this, my month is suddenly looking very full 🥲 some badly timed appointments, having to travel to visit family, that sort of thing.

i've ordered the winter sticker sheets for those in the uk, and they'll hopefully arrive by the end of this week. however, i'm travelling on friday and won't be back until tuesday, so i won't be able to list them in the shop until then! i'll aim to ship as quickly as i can, but i have to go away again for another couple of days that following weekend (16th/17th) so it's all a bit 😵‍💫😵‍💫🫠 i'll try my best nonetheless!

because of this im a bit stuck on the video front- being away for the usual upload days, and not having the time i usually would to film and edit. things are feeling a bit overwhelming at the moment, so for the time being i'll say that im aiming to upload one month-long december video- i might find i have enough to upload sooner, but im not sure! so we'll wait and see. but rest assured, i've started episode 52 of the attic archives and i'll keep chipping away at it.

apologies to those of you who usually enjoy the weekly routine of the uploads- hopefully things will be a little less intense after the next couple of weeks.

in the meantime, some small updates-

another satisfying set of gloomy nails, for anyone interested in those 🔎

another small bit of progress for 'everyday gloom' 🏚️

and i finally gathered the courage to cover my little a6 books! i'm not sure how to explain this in a way that makes sense, but hopefully you know what i mean- opened the book flat, lined it up with the top and side of an A4 sheet, drew around the edges, added a bit to the length for folding, and cut with a ruler. then folded the sheet around the book 📕 this way there's no excess to cut or fold- only that one little bit at the front and back to hold it all in place. i didn't glue anything, just folded and secured them with the a6 midori clear covers. this way nothing is permanent 🙇🏻‍♀️

i think they look cute! im glad to have solved this before christmas/the new year- if i was having to face the lemon yellow start amongst everything else in january i think i would die 😅 now i have a very easy solution. the archive label is the same one from that free sheet of labels/trackers ive linked in the past, and for my day-free/commonplace book, i added a spooky polaroid cut out. it's nice for them to be a little more customisable, a little easier to archive 💭

however, the clear midori covers now mean that they *really* don't fit together in my hobonichi cover. one will fit, but not both. i've ordered a couple of other covers to try, so i'll keep you updated on those as they arrive. im not sure what the solution will be, but at least my books are protected by the clear covers in the mean time 🥲 i wish the hobonichi a6 covers had a little extra wiggle room- even just a centimetre or two would make a big difference. i considered the 5-year covers, but the lack of design options and internal pockets isn't very appealing if im being honest! stay tuned on that, i suppose 🫡

i think that's all for now! i hope your december has started a little smoother than mine, and that it continues to be kind to you. i'll keep updating as i go- probably small bits here and there, and then eventually, a nice, long video 📹✨

thanks for your patience and support ⛄️

take care and speak soon, friends x

Your notebook covers look fantastic!! I’d honestly be tempted just to hold them together with a big rubber band and call it done 😄

End of the year is always overwhelming, rest up and take care! I’m sure we’re not going anywhere even if there are fewer videos this month ❤️‍🩹 take care of yourself!! Also wanted to ask is we could get a printable of the little card you have on your note book? No worries if you don’t have the time/energy to out that together 🎄
