So excited for this! Do you think you’ll consider making separate inserts? Like one for common placing and one for planning?

Parker

There’s a YouTube channel by a psychologist (think he may be the US equivalent of an educational psychologist - but don’t hold that against him 🤣) He did a video of top ten tips for managing ADHD (something I’m now 99% sure my brain is since my therapist mentioned it. Not started the uphill struggle that will be wrestling the NHS to help) …anyway! He refers to what you’ve been doing this year as ‘Frankenstein-ing’. Trialling various planning systems to discover which particular bits of them work for you, and creating your own bespoke system. Partly due to his video popping up in my feed, together with watching your creative explorations have finally nudged me into being more experimental too. Usually I stick with whatever planner I start the year in - even if it’s not working. Which has led to life being even more stressful than usual. I had a few years using the bujo method successfully. But when reality set off a bomb in my life everything unraveled and I’ve been struggling to find something that works for me since probably 2016…yeah, that’s a tough realisation. Sigh. But this year I FINALLY realised I could chop and change and experiment with a number of planners to see what bits may work. Like you, I’ve wrestled with what the Goldilocks size is. The Hobo weeks is perfect for a lot of what I need - but also too small for other bits. Where I’m at now - having chopped and changed since I got the weeks last September is: • Hobo Weeks for running todo lists, appointments, financial stuff. Basically Adulting related things. Tracking everything that needs tracking… • Hobo original A6 for health related stuff. Outcomes of medical appointments, medication changes, symptoms etc. I’m copying your idea of using the daily pages for commonplacing medical researchn such and using the yearly pages as the index. The monthly pages are medication/symptoms/appointments overviews. • Hobo cousin as memory keeping and commonplace notebook. Record of books read, non medical research, quotes etc. Again, yearly pages as index (genius idea imho thank you) • A5 notebook for brain draining and ephemera collecting. Sort of a cross between junk journal and a general notebook. Plus it’s filling up/using my notebook stash. …yeah, that’s no doubt of zero use to anyone else. But it’s helping to solidify the system in my brain. I’m sure non UK based peeps would happily purchase a digital version and make their own traveller’s notebook inserts…? Although I hear you about the difficulty involved in getting sizing correct. My brain can’t compute that stuff either. Good luck - you’re making excellent progress in your Frankenstein-ing journey 🥰

Hi! Could you share the psychologist channel? That sounds very interesting.
