hi everyone, I hope you're all doing ok!

sorry it's taken me so long to get back to you- i've been a bit hyperfocussed on my ghost project (as im sure those of you who follow me on tumblr know lol) 🥲

i'll share those lil updates today, as well as the photos i took while in bath last week (as promised) 💭

this is where we're at with the ghosts- eight lil companions to carry. some are based on prompts from tumblr, some i made for myself and then shared (like the birthday one), but i'm really excited about how they're coming along 🥺 the design shown is the one i adapted for printing. i kept the shape of the original index cards and added some extra lil flourishes, as well as numbers and their official title 'gloomies.' they'll be printed without a background colour on the same cream, recycled paper that i used for my halloween project, so they should have a really lovely texture when they're finished, just like the index cards!

today i've been trying to work out the math of it all, but it feels a bit like i put my brain in a blender 😅 i've been looking at envelopes and stickers, drawing all the measurements out so i can 'see' it all properly side by side. i think i've worked it out, but wherever there's numbers involved im always second-guessing thanks to dyscalculia and aphantasia lol.

i have some test prints of the cards arriving tomorrow, so hopefully i'll be able to show you if they turned out okay 🔖

from bath:

there should also be some film photos in the next couple of days, but as always, i'm not sure how many will actually have come out well 🎞️✂️ hopefully we'll get a couple of good ones.

i think that's all for today, pls wish me luck with all this math 🥲

take care and speak soon, friends x

I love them! I see them and feel happy. But also, I think they could be fantastic paper dolls. And maybe - in the future, plushies and separate clothes. The other illustration you shared when you showed the basic form and explained the general idea, made me think of you holding one like a teddy bear by the hand, and made me think of how cool it would be to have one to hug.

Looks good seeing them side-by-side, like a set. And, great to see photos from your trip to Bath. Who knew Frankenstein’s figurine would make such a good muse, lol. The cameo in the video and in the photos are really fun 💜
