hi everyone, i hope you're all doing ok. an early update this week, i hope you don't mind the deviation from routine too much! i've been struggling a bit with the change in weather so it'll be a relief to end my work week a touch earlier than usual.

there hasn't been too much going on this week- mostly just trying to cope with the sudden climb in temperature (and all the horrors that come with it), thinking about sleep and appointments, the autism inserts, and missing the hobonichi cousin- i elaborate on much of this in the video.

there isn't anything to see for the autism inserts just yet update-wise, but i'm working on some new ideas and will show you once there's something worth seeing! hopefully in the next few days. im not sure why the initial seasonal adjustment always feels so difficult, but it does. i always end up exhausted, headache-y, a bit confused. everything seems to slow down and i find it all very frustrating. hoping that all of you are coping a bit better 🤞🏻

over the weekend i'll try to rest a bit and hopefully acclimatise. then next week, with a bit of luck, we'll be back on the attic archives again 📹🌾 thanks to all those who stick with me through the quieter periods. hopefully by the end of the summer i might finally be unlocking the magical world of ✨symptom management✨ for my sleep issues, and i might manage some consistent productivity and output 🫠

i hope you enjoy the video, curious to hear what think about it! do you keep an extra book outside of your main book? something just for fun, to dip in and out of? 💭

take care and speak soon, friends x

Hi Megan, great video! I feel you on the seasonal shift from spring to summer, the heat just does something to me physically and mentally that makes this time of year hard for me. I giggled when I heard you say you're missing your hobonichi cousin and loving that "big flat book person". I love my hobonichi cousins and I never moved away from it. While I've been following you on your filofax journey, I have't joined you in it. Personally the filofax is too expansive for me, i need a book with a fixed number of pages to fill up otherwise I freeze and don't know what to collect with the possibility of endless pages. I am happy to report I'm still in the book that I started at the beginning of the year and I think keeping myself out of book and strictly sticking to one book has made me more successful about staying on track with my dailies. Hoping your ailments are getting a little better and some magically cool air for the attic 🖤

I'm still in the Traveler's Notebook planner for this year, it feels really peaceful. I have one insert for my weekly, one for the monthly calendar, one for journaling "dear diary" style, and one for taking research notes. I like the TN weeklies because they're the same layout as the Hobonichi Weeks but bigger. The Weeks always felt claustrophobic to me. I had a big fomo thing with rings earlier this year, which I have resisted for so long because I hate working around the rings. And that was true! Again! It's almost like I should have listened to myself 🥴
