Hey all, hope you're doing well!

Recently I've been thinking, managing an off-site archive with password protection is getting kind of tedious and time-consuming. So I want to pose a question to everyone here and get some honest feedback.

Should I skip weekly passwords and just post the comics here on the Patreon feed?

The reason for protecting the comics the way I did was because of sites that would use a web-scraper bot to gain instant access to the private feed. The biggest culprit of this is gone, and I feel a bit safer posting the works directly here now.

There are still some concerns I have, though;
- Someone pledges, saves all the content in one go, and does a refund
- Other unknown sites that use web-scraper bots

While some of my older content was shared, none of my recent stuff was shared anywhere. So I feel like most people who join my campaign are genuinely here for my art, and that makes me feel more confident to just post directly to the feed again.

So I want to make a poll and decide what I should do.

Please let me know if you have any feedback, I just want to improve the experience with my campaign as much as possible.

Thank you!

I'll be honest I've probably missed your rewards because I never log in to the site it's alot of effort to look at one page and if you take it down when you switch to new project then I miss it and don't get to read the whole thing at once. Probably a personal problem but I like to wait and read it when it's done

I would say keep the password and archives because there are a few sites that still exist that are taking content from paid sites like patreon/ subscribestar actively. But if your also worried about people grabbing content and refunding you could charge up front the moment they subscribe

Maybe lengthen the password time. Like twice or once a month instead of every week

Honestly just put it on the Patreon feed, people are going to try to get things for free no matter what, at least don't make it inconvenient for the people who support you

I would say keep the archives and password. Just change the password a little bit less frequently. Once a month or so should be enough. With dropbox I can read everything easy and also find everything easy. But on the patreon feed I always have to click through and search a lot and I think its easier to miss things.

I don't mind the passwords. Maybe lengthen the intervals between changes, to reduce the tedium on your end?
