"Are there pets in Fuzzbutts?"

Hmm. As I develop FB, the part of my brain that wants to keep things realistic is often at odds with that part of my mind that wants to inject silly bullshit. The concept of fish dogs is so stupid it kinda pisses me off? At the same time.....hrrrng. Fish doggies. Guppy puppies. Kinda love it

idk how canon any of this is, just spitballing for now

In FB, all mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds are sapient anthropormorphic people. Insects and fish are not. Except sharks. Because sharks are rad. But if sharks can evolve the absolutely insane level of adaptions required to leave the ocean and develop bipedalism (and breathe air...and survive in fresh and salt water....and toughen their cartilage to the point they could even stand and walk under Earth's gravity...), well, maybe other fish might've started evolving for life on land as well. Very slowly. Marine animals eat fish. To this day, fish remains one of the most common sources of protein for predators on both land and sea. But also...over thousands of years, as man shaped the evolution of wolves into dogs, so too did the early people of Fuzzbutts start domesticating the gaspy floundering fish-critters that would flop up on land to steal food scraps from settlements.

Fish dogs were uh, initially bred for food (how convenient to have a handy source of meat that also feeds on your garbage). But over time, they became the charmingly clumsy companions of Fuzzbutt-kind. They are of remarkably low intelligence. They make odd wheezy sounds, and their lil damp fin-feet make slappity-slap noises as they run. They bite. They drool. They are smelly. They are beloved.

Katie is shown here taking the occasional paid gig as neighborhood dog walker. Going from left to right, the dogs' names are Molly Waddles (salmon), Kevin (catfish), and Princess Fishy Feet (eel).

I think you should put as much silly stuff in FB as you want. You gotta have fun making this world, too. I personally love this this idea haha
