Meet Beauregard "Buddy" Fletcher, Sunny delightfully dowdy doughy dog dad. He owns an pretty lucrative chew toy company, but remains your typical down-to-earth suburban dad, complete with a love of grilling, beer, and his fav football team, the Green Hay Snackers (a cheese-themed team of dairy cows). He and Sunny used to be quite close, but nowadays, while Sunny still loves his dad, he can only handle (nosy, overprotective, cheerfully problematic) Bud in small doses, mostly around holidays, when he can mostly evade Bud's chatter about when Sunny plans on having kids or doing something about that flickering oil light in his car.

fun fact: Sunny's eyesight is pretty bad, he gets by mostly on his sharp sense of smell. He knows that if he finally succumbs to the thick coke-bottle corrective lenses he so badly needs he's 100% gonna look exactly like his dad, and Sunny's not quite ready to surrender his self-image as young and cool just yet.
