Fuzzbutts: Roo Dudes (Patreon)

Okay so I’m kinda rebooting Logan. When I first started brainstorming for Fuzzbutts, I didn’t plan to include a Butch expy at all, so I figured Logan could be a little cute nod to Butch, this irritating big brother figure that wouldn’t leave Bruce alone. Later I decided I did want to include a Butch expy (Silver), so I tried to nix the “big brother” aspect of Logan’s character and have him instead be a Huck-like obnoxious neighbor that Bruce has a brief fling with. I don’t think this worked out well at all. As far as story beats go, it’s melodramatic and doesn’t make Bruce very likeable, and Logan was still too Butch-like, which made it feel like Bruce was hooking up with someone quite similar to his own brother and ajhasdbsJHBA

Bad storytelling. Messy. I’m chucking it all out the window. Now we have our proper Butch expy (Silver), and Logan, who I’ve decided to considerably tweak. I’m also nixing the Logan-and-Bruce hooking up plotline, it’s just uncomfortable. :/ I drew the two roo dudes so you could see their design (and personality) differences. :>

Logan Springer 

-tall boy, 7ft. No longer a kickboxer, now a triathlete and long-distance runner. Logan can high-speed hippety-hop for days if need be

-coat is kept neatly trimmed, takes good care of himself, relentlessly religious about exercise and health and tries to get others to be as well

-makes keto cupcakes for his neighbors, they are terrible

-a feminist, if you can believe it. misinformed/confused about various women's issues but very passionate about the cause

-dumb as a sack of potatoes, yet sometimes drops random bits of incredible insight

-more sensitive than he appears, not afraid to cry

-honest, says what he feels

-aggressively nice in a way that is off-putting to most

-wants you to join his gym

-chest bump/headbutts to show affection

Silver Abalone

-shorter (6ft). Champion heavyweight kickboxer

-scruffy, thinks ladies dig the “i just rolled outta bed” look

-fluffy cheeks run in the family, thus his nickname for Bruce may or may not be "Foofie"

-self-absorbed, smarmy, very high opinion of himself. Insecure about his intelligence tho and may try to start a fight you make him feel dumb. he'll also kick your ass if you pick on Bruce, only he's allowed to do that

-loves intensely and deeply but very bad at showing it. no clue how to be vulnerable

-tries to seem cool and aloof, actually a very emotional idiot

-can be a bully

I found myself thinking how Logan and Silver might get along if they ever met, and....yeah they’d be best friends, the bestest bros that ever bro’ed. I started doodling what their dynamic might be like, and wellllll I’m pretty predictable, haha

I like them as friends and/or a ship, but idk if they'll meet in canon. Stiillll figuring it all out. But ah......if they were to hypothetically be friends, then I could hypothetically tell y’all they call each other Silvie and LoLo in private
