Ah, the answers kinda grim. Discord was born in the middle of famine and war, he’s the only survivor of his litter. Demeter has had other litters in the past, but some of her adult children have also been lost fighting back against the dragons, who view draconequii as competition for resources and hunt them relentlessly. Ultimately, every draconequus dies, with Demeter being the very last. The Everfree Forest sprouted from her fallen body. Discord doesn’t remember much about his origin, but he’s always felt oddly at home within the Everfree.
