If They Weren't Ponies (Brainstorming) (Patreon)

Might do a piece showcasing what the main Pandoraverse cast would look like if they weren't ponies. Which anthropomorphic animal would you pick for each character?

Here's my current list, though it's definitely not set in stone, some species may change

Pandora: Cobra, Weasel, Lioness, ????

Cupcake: ????

Moondancer: Sheep, Goat (needs to be something delicate and cute)

Bruce: Bull Terrier

Stormy: Highland Bull

Zipperflash: Cockatoo, Rooster

Rosemary: Bunny

Magnolia May: Torn between Cat (because she's prissy) and Pig (cuz she's a farm girl deep down)

Skyla: ????

Chakra: Wolf

Nocturnus: Bat (this one was obvious lol)

So, ideas? I'm really looking for feedback!

I could see Panny as a bay cat, they're long and weasel like while retaining cat qualities. As for Magnolia May, maybe a healthy cross - a barn cat! Still just as prissy as your average cat, but a little more... Homely. I can see Cupcake as being some sort of large dog, maybe a kangal / Turkish shepherd or some sort of mastiff. I'm a bit at a loss for Skyla, but for some reason she's always reminded me of a bobcat or an ocelot or clouded leopard. Something pretty and delicate, but fierce

i see panny as a snake like maybe an anaconda or cobra. cupcake maybe something loyal cute but deadly. maybe evwn a hare they can do alot of damage and very strong. or an akita (i own shiw and breed these dogs soft cuddly lazy quite but so loyal once there liyal to that 1 person thwy will kill for them) i see that as cupcake is for panny. magnolia what about a fox? can be contry and city and the same time both beautiful and rugged at the same time moondancer what about a ocapi, gazelle or antelope. skyla maybe a swan, tiger, lynx,

pandora as a genet or linsang, maybe--big ole tubecat lookin thing? i could see moony as a deer or antelope. i agree with a lot of people talking about skyla as a bobcat or clouded leopard--one of the smaller "big" cats, but still wicked fierce, hahaha. cupcake i could see as something disarming at first, but could wreck your shit if it wanted to. buffalo, maybe? people don't give large prey ungulates enough credit for how terrifying they can be

Whoops, sorry for the double post, was trying to create another paragraph and ended up posting. >>; Anyway...Moondancer I could definitely see as a deer of some kind. Maybe a Sika or Fallow deer if you're going for something elegant, or a Dik-dik if you want something partially hilarious. ;)

I could see Cupcake as a bear, extremely fierce and strong in a simple brown paper package, also way smarter than she lets on and can also be very gentle. For Pandora, I could see her being a weasel or a fox, something that's just prone to mischief making. For Skyla, I just thought of a cheeta. Extremely determined, athletic, and with claws always at the ready, but is somehow is always looked over by larger , stronger cats. Hmm, I really stuck with meateaters lol :)

Why not have Pan be one of those Munchkin cats XD and I kind of picture Cupcake as some kind of poofy animal of some sort lol A grumpy Pomeranian or something? hah

Skyla should definetly be a lioness, since they are so proud and for Cupcake... hmmm... a wolf, cause in childhood she was kinda loner until she met Pandora and is now her fierce and a little scary protector.

Moodancer would definitely be an adorable lil billy goat (Just imaging him faint every time Pan scares him). Pandora would most likely be a hybrid of maybe... A fox (for Discord of course) and a Labrador (for Twili), mischievous but fluffy and adorable! Cupcake would be a Pitt Bull, due to her hostile and agressive appearance although she is very kind and loving on the inside. Skyla would be an albino peacock due to her elegant (yet snobby) behavior, plus I would love to see how you would design an albino peacock. I'l have to think of some ideas for Bruce and his floofy husbando since they'll be a bit of a challenge.

Quickie little idea for Bruce! Have you ever heard about the Aegean Cat? Its a breed of cat common in greece that KnOwN for hanging out with Fishermen and on their boats! Cupcake: Grizzly Bear As a pony, she's already a force to be reckoned with, so Grizzly bear was the right choice in my opinion. 2.) Pandora: At first, I went down the mythology route and considered Pandora being near the mythical monster Chimera. In this form, she would have reptilian scales, hind legs of a dragon, front legs of a lioness, horns of a goat.
