With his newfound sapience, Bertram picks up many hobbies to occupy his free time (which he has a lot of, considering he doesn't need to work or sleep or eat). Midnight used to read to him, so he finds himself poking a hoof into the waters of classic science fiction literature....which is, for the most part, pretty tasteless in its depiction of the undead. This offends Bertram.
