You guys have to watch Levi's backstory in the Attack on Titan OVA No Regrets part 1 and part 2 before starting season 2!

This is yet another episode that makes me love Levi's character even more. The story with the patch is even more sad than you may realise. Yes, Levi gave Dieter the patch, telling him it was Ivan's, but it was actually Petra's patch, you can see Levi taking it from her earlier in the episode. Levi wanted the patch to remember Petra by, but he knew that Dieter needed the reassurance and support more than himself, so he lied and gave the patch to him instead. This ties back into one of the earlier episodes, where Levi (despite hating getting dirty) grasps the bloody hand of a dying scout to provide him comfort. Levi does care about his people, he just isn't super expressive about it as others are.

Daniel, you are our Captain Levi ☺️ but you definitely show us more emotion lol Yes! They never clarified if Petra and him were in a relationship or not but we can deduct she liked him a lot. In my personal opinion Levi liked her too but never said anything bc of the circumstances (dead, titans, etc)

Mikasa is strong, but Levi??? A whole other beast. He not only has the experience but his battle IQ, speed and general strength is wayyyy ahead of anyone else in the show. As they said, he is an entire brigade on his own

Out of all the new recruits u can tell only Armin is on the same wavelength with Erwin and Levi and the other veterans. He already has the correct mindset and the correct thought process
