Good Morning Everyone!

Welcome back for our 2nd movie reaction! As we mentioned on our last movie post we will be following a WATCH ALONG FORMAT. Just use the timer to sync.

What a good movie this was! 😮 We were in shock with this ending and kept waiting for another scene to play! We see now why it won an Oscar!

Hope you enjoy!

THANK YOU GUYS!!!! I cannot wait to see yall react to this. Truly, one of the greatest movies ever.

I just recently watched it because I also thought it was a horror movie, Summer 🤭 I loved the twisted humor and storytelling of this movie. You think you’d know how it goes then plot twist! 😁 The Oscar winning director here also directed Snowpiercer which starred Chris Evans. That was also a good movie and if you remember, it was referenced in BTS’s Spring Day. 😊

Also I relate to Sunmer’s reactions.. that was me too 🤭🤭🤭 Edited (as I was commenting while watching) : I agree with Summer that she was homeless. She lived there and sneaked in her husband. They were the first “parasites” so when she got fired all of a sudden, she ended up in the streets. As for the ending, yes it was his plan but in reality, it might not materialize and Daniel might be right that he might end up trying to get work there and be a “parasite” again. A lil bit of trivia, the son Choi Woo Shik and his friend played by Park Seo Joon are Tae’s best friends, along with another actor, Park Hyungsik and Musician Peakboy. They call their group friends as The Wooga Squad. ☺️💜 Hope you would be open to trying kdrama too. I’d recommend Alchemy of Souls (magic realism) or for time travel + band music, Twinkling Watermelon. Period flick with a good plot twist would be Hwarang where Tae was part of the cast ☺️💜 Totally enjoyed watching this again with you both. I needed the stress relief. Thank you so much ☺️

The rock that is meant to bring them fortune isn't actually a real rock- it floats when their apartment floods, and it doesn't kill the son like a real rock would. It's hollow, just like the promise of wealth and opportunity that came with it.

I’m sorry this might be a dumb question but I’ve never done the whole watch along thing. I don’t have a clue what I’m doing how do I work this???😭😭

So happy for you guys to finally watch this movie! Such an amazing social commentary. Choi Woo Shik (the one playing the son) and Park Seo-Jun (Min, the friend) are Tae's friends in real life and all three were in Jinny's Kitchen, a reality show. I hope you get to watch that series sometime in the future.

If you guys want another great korean movie recommendation, please watch Forgotten!

It's not a Korean movie, but it's another movie that makes you question everything: Shutter Island!!

I don’t know if you guys have noticed this, but is the second movie you guys have seen Choi Woo Shik (the son) in. He was also in Train to Busan, he was the baseball player.

This is why Korean shows and movies have become my favorite. One thing about a lot of their dramas, is that they try to answer all your questions. There are dramas that I have watched where it appears a character is dead, but there's that feeling that maybe they survived. They will not only revealed that they survived, but show you how. This is one of the reasons a lot of Kdramas have hour long episodes and sometimes just one season, because they answer everything that first season. I have so many recommendations for you guys. Regarding Parasite, I dropped it on Discord and will continue any conversation there.

Any chance you can give a streamable link for this like in Train to Busan? 🥲🥲
