BOOM! 9 “Empty Nest”.

Now complete. I struggled a bit with the swirling motion in this piece. It began to take on a toilet flushing kind of feel, which was not my intention emotionally or thematically. I simply wanted to convey the natural unwinding I’ve seen in the empty nests in my backyard. My final marks on the piece ultimately re-emphasize the BOOM theme. A little more dynamic, and back to the inspiration of Saturday morning cartoons.
