Devil's in the details (Patreon)

I struggled just a bit today as I began painting. My desire was to continue as I have been. Building up depth with layers of color. But it just wasn't working. I took a step back to think, and realized I'd reached a turning point. It was time to get meticulous! Once I began painting details, I began to make real progress. Areas I'm refering to are pictured in the additional photos: through the face and in the upper left corner.
