I'm catching up, so a late comment. With Sheridan saying for continued patrol of the White Star fleet on their borders, they need to consider their mutual defense treaties with Earth null and void makes sense. With those mutual defense treaties, I assume it is stipulated that these worlds would come to Earth's defense if the Earth Alliance is attacked. If they had to honor those, or chose to honor those, then Sheridan's White Star fleet would possibly have to engage them in battle as well in the future. He can't have the fleet patrolling their borders if he is forced to fight them. He is trying to prevent a scenario where he is forced to go against the nonaligned worlds. His fight isn't with them. It's with Clark. He also knows it isn't their fight either. He specifically asks them not to get involved except in the case of humanitarian aid. I respect that. I can imagine some leaders would want all the fire power they could get their hands on. I think it's right to questions people's motives. I love that you do that.
