What's with supernatural and badass redhead women, I am here for it. Ada trapping that demon in a plant is so wild and so hot 🥵, ada is my favorite because she is so comptent too, same with lata, love them too so much, I found it so funny that this show was advertised as the "love story of John and Mary" yet I find myself caring about John and Mary the least in the show, characters like ada, lata and Carlos are way more intriguing to me. John is almost obsessed with Mary, I laughed when he said to Betty that she did the right thing to call it off because they were young and he was moving to fast with her as if he isn't still young and as if he's not doing the same thing with Mary, moving too fast, this guy never learns lmao, even the reasons he states to lata for getting Mary back at all costs was off to me, he said hunting is the first thing to ever make sense to him and that none of this (hunting) works without Mary, it's like he needs her so he can keep hunting, it feels like john replaced the war with hunting and for hunting he needed Mary, seemed so obsessed, idk maybe it's just me, I personally liked the choice of having Mary go to the movies on her own and meeting a random guy and then cut to john and lata staying behind having a beer, not gonna lie still ship john/lata more than john/Mary, everytime john and lata are on screen they have so much chemistry, at the beginning of the episode lata was suggesting john go to the movies I wonder if she was trying to nodge john to ask Mary out or if she was asking john out, it's not clear. Lots of mystery in this episode, what's up with lata lying about her family being dead? The demon says ada wants to be a witch! That was new info, I kinda thought she already was tbh, she definitely demonstrated a lot of power, knowledge and creativity with her plant spell.

Ah I enjoyed this! I agree with Michele that the show felt like it was finding its feet and starting to really flow at this point, and it also feels genuinely creepy in a way that SPN hasn't done for ages. The episodes get better and better imo and each one has surprises - the demon-in-a-plant, Rockin Roxy, and Lata having a secret in this one.
