Marigold needs buckets of therapy starting right now, but unfortunately that was not a thing in 1925. I feel so awful for Mrs. Drew. Mr. Drew as well, but a lot of this would have been avoidable if he'd just confided in his wife in the first place. But now they have to leave the home where Drew was born, where generations of his family have lived and worked, to find a new tenancy. All because he wanted to help Edith. Given how guilty Robert feels about the whole thing I'm sure he'll do everything he can, including paying for moving expenses and the first few months' rent at the new place. Carson is all but spineless in the face of Lady Mary's will. And Mary is coming at this with the best of intentions. She wants Carson to have the absolute finest of everything on his wedding day. And she's thoughtlessly putting the bride on the back burner because Carson is the one she really cares about. Plus it really doesn't occur to her that anyone wouldn't want to have a fancy wedding. It's painful watching Thomas get iced out by practically everyone but Baxter. Carson dismisses his offers of help, Andy politely rebuffs every gesture of friendship, everyone is all in favor of him finding a new job. But YIKES, that job interview. I have to assume, from the pointed comments about marriage and how "delicate" Thomas is, that this butler has heard rumors about Thomas, probably from when Alfred made that call to the police a few years back.
