As far as I'm concerned, Lucius is hugging a barrel and dog-paddling for jeezis and is definitely not going to make Ed anymore of that nice soap he likes and that's a FACT. I really do love the idea of Mary and Stede conspiring together to make each other both happy - they're the brotp I didn't know I needed :3 Ed giving in to the Kraken hurts my heart in so many ways. Stede was scared, so he bolted and then Ed got scared and HE bolted in his own way. They're both so used to the way things have been that they're scared to consider just how lovely life would be if they just ... did what makes them happy and keep doing that. And yeah, the thing with Izzy is - just like he says, he only serves Blackbeard and is *only* interested in being captained by Blackbeard, but Blackbeard isn't all that Ed is. And Izzy is threatened by all the things that it turns out that Blackbeard is, because it's all the soft, vulnerable, kind things that pirates aren't supposed to be. I almost want to feel bad for Izzy, because this whole shift in Ed has obviously distressed him, but like - he's a toxic pos and he wants Ed to be less just to make him happy, so yeah, he can feck off. xp
