The problem is that Lancelot wouldn't take Gwen when he knows Arthur loves her. So bringing him back would only work if you imprison his mind or something like that. Because he wouldn't do it himself.

Amazing reaction as always! I thought you might like this one, particularly as you were mentioning earlier how you wanted to see Uther’s reaction to their relationship and how/if Arthur would stand up against him which this episode deals with well I think. I’ve always really liked this episode as I think it does a great job of having an involving, more story developing plot (rather than a monster, or should I say Morgana, of the week episode) whilst also retaining the charm and comedy of some of the lighter episodes in the show. I’m so glad you got that old Merlin is their nod to the classic and most famous depiction of Merlin, for some reason people often seem to miss that, and also that you found him as funny as I do! And I really must shout out to Colin Morgan’s great performance with that. He did a truly great job with the voice and body language, which is so hard to do that convincingly. I genuinely think he’s an insanely talented actor but doesn’t get the credit deserved for it, even sometimes by fans, perhaps because it’s a family show and an often comedic character and they don’t take it seriously or something? I really don’t know. But he’s always brilliant. Oh and also you were right about seeing old Merlin before - we did see him in one of those crystals, in the crystal cave episode I believe! And yes isn’t it mad how unlikeable Morgana has become? I love your reactions to her haha, very relatable. We’re so close to the finale now, and I’m so so excited!

"if Morgana was smart, she would just bring Lancelot back" girl! You're not wrong! And she wouldn't even have needed to do any heavy lifting, everytime Lancelot came back, Gwen was like Arthur who, Gwen would've done all the work for her lmao
