WOWZA....I haven't watched this episode in a long time and now I remember why I think season 12 is a complete dumpster fire. This whole episode was breathtakingly tactless, distasteful and badly written. First off, remember when the demons and angels were scary? I don't...it's like they were trying to rectify past sins of overloading us with the heaven/hell wars so they thought to make them funny, like over the top hammy. I will never be okay with how they utterly destroyed Crowley's character, especially in 12. He was refreshingly great, started out as a nuanced villain who always played the long game. Why did they destroy him to bring back that old Lucifer hat trick? It's crazy how they retroactively made me despise the biggest bad from eons ago because the show runners have a massive crush on Mark Pellegrino. And it means he is getting destroyed even further going forward...yay... The BMoL are a bad joke that made me stop watching initially but since then it has been painful, especially with gratuitous torture porn - both physically and mentally. They act petty, overly confident and knowledgeable but need passcodes, hunter hierarchy, etc. Seriously? Pantsuit lady is one of the worst characters that has stained this season along with the chick who overpowered a freaking angel with fancy brass knuckles. Since angels are around ALL THE TIME vs the 2k years lore rewritten. Like yeah, girl power but no freaking way in the world. Speaking of girl power, Eileen is a damn legacy too and she gets killed by a hellhound in the opening scene. Sure glad that whistle works? WTF...Crowley gave Ketch one of his demon controlled hounds? Unbelievable on so many levels but keep destroying Crowley and women. I wasn't big on social media but I recall a lot of #FireBucklemming after this episode aired.

I completely agree about the Crowley /Lucifer storyline in Season 12...however I have to say (unpopular opinion) I would go even further : I would not have brought Lucifer back after Season 5 at all, nor Crowley after Season 6. Their storylines were great in both seasons respectively, and bringing each back, took away from that IMO.

*gasp* You take that back about Crowley! LOL

S8-S10 Crowley was great. First as the big bad who gains some humanity back, then as Dean's summer bro-mance. Even in S7 he helped against the Leviathan. What was great about S7 Crowley is that there was just enough of him.

This season Crowley, though....I felt for poor Mark. Though I did like the Crowley/Cas stuff.

I actually like season 12. Also, this is supernatural. Not every death is “poetic” or a nice death. The show has never been about that. Eileen isn’t a main character so I wasn’t shocked that she died. Also, it’s weird that people choose to be offended by how she died as if that isn’t the whole point. Ketch used the hellhounds. She would have died no matter what, but she was defenseless. It’s supposed to be disturbing. That’s not bad writing
