Love this show and it has been a great season but there seems to be so many story threads that I have no clue how they will bring them all together. The only slightly negative point I have to say is what was the point of The Deep scene - the joke was made in the last episode and for me it was wasted time. I appreciated the comic relief in S1&S2 but is was in the context of a character story which I am not understanding in S3 yet.

Technically, because of that scene he is no longer going to be under the guidance of the Christian right wing, now that he has broken with Cassandra. But honestly, he is still going to do whatever Homelander says, so overall The Deep probably won’t change, but she did get him back into The Seven.

2022-12-31 17:52:03 Even though Soldier Boy is a piece of crap, I hope the character doesn’t die because he is a loose canon that is fun to watch. And yes, I am partially blinded by Mr. Ackles, here. The writers can choose to have the new Homelander & dad SB story go either really well or very bad. Starlight and Ashley have already set up Soldier Boy as a bad guy in public. It’s possible that Vought and therefore Homelander, may throw him under the bus to get Homelander back on top again. But I also have some ideas about a possible agreement between SB and HL. I could say more, but I will hold back on my other theories, so as to keep your reaction genuine. Next episode will be very interesting. .
