2023-01-22 20:10:06 oh i was terrified of the jinn when i was young, it's all the stories & how everyone swears they're real even my parents & as a kid you don't know better & if your parents tell you something is real you believe them, so in Islamic mythology jinn are a different species with super speed, strength & teleportation powers who live in a dimension that is invisible to humans & just like humans some of them are good & some are bad, the bad ones are called demons & they're actually creatures of fire not light, angels are the creatures of light or at least that's how i always heard it unless there are different versions or they're changing things a bit to fit the bigger picture, i was also scared of the dark because of them like kamala, i love that bruno loves to learn about kamala's culture & seems to dance well in that wedding, i also love that the white guy's name is the name that gets mispronounced in this show lol, way to flip that around & show how absurd it can be

Haha I think spooky jinn stories are a fundamental staple of every Muslim upbringing. My mom used to stop me from going into the basement by telling me there was an entire jinn family down there that didn't wanna be disturbed. I remember getting locked in there one time and being scared for my life while silently apologizing for making the jinn mad lol.

I think Aisha betrayed the others and that's why they are seemingly overreacting to Kamala not wanting to help. Maybe she realized the potential harm them returning would cause, and no longer wanted to do it.
