I might be in the minority, but I actually sided with Cora against Isobel in this episode. There have been times I don't agree with Cora, but when hearing Cora's argument about the servants having to wait too long between meals, I thought she made the right decision. She could have told Isobel first before the changes were made, but she wasn't going to back down. Plus, I think Isobel was under the assumption that she would be in charge and Cora wouldn't take as active of an interest, but it's Cora's house, so of course she would be interested. My favorite part, however, was Robert saying he loves Matthew like a son. It's very difficult for Robert to vocalize his feelings. I believe he doesn't think it proper, but it goes to show just how important a friendship he has with Bates to admit to his feelings.
