The scenes between Kimiko and her brother had subtitles when it aired on Amazon. For those who didn't view it streaming and watched along with Shelley, the gist of their last conversation was: After their village was raided and Kimiko kidnapped, there was "fire from the sky" in the form of Homelander, who destroyed everything, killing almost everyone... babies included. The brother became militant against the US after that and joined something called the Shining Light Liberation Army. The brother wants to use his powers to get revenge on America, but Kimiko just wants them to try to live a peaceful life. As you saw, the brother made his decision and went aggressive toward Kimiko, until she was able to subdue him.

There were subtitles, the church of the collective is definitely scientology, kimiko & her brother had to come up with a unique language to communicate together that's why it's hard for Frenchie to learn it, it's not a known sign language, it's a language they created, butcher doesn't care about the team, all he cares about is Becca, it's all what this is about for him, when Frenchie & MM got caught he didn't care to save them, Hughie did, he doesn't care about kimiko's brother, i wanted to punch him in the face for punching Hughie, i really see john winchester in him, obsessed over revenging their wives & fucking over everyone else in the process, i hate homelander so much, the fact that he makes everyone's life hell, queen mauve, Becca, starlight, etc

I agree!!! I was so pissed when Butcher punched Hughie. In the first season, I thought Butcher was definitely making questionable decisions that I understood, but didn't respect. Then this episode really made me start to actively dislike him. I mean it really started with Stillwell's baby in the season 1 finale. But his selfishness here annoyed me. And even after he is put in his place by everyone, he uses Hughie as a punching bag for his rage. UGH!!!
