It's nice that you ship Merlin and Arthur. But that isn't what happened. In the past, the friendship between men was way stronger and more intimate. That's logical because people like Merlin and Arthur fight together and are literally responsible for each other survival that kind of bond you can't find nowadays. Maybe in the army. I understand why you're reflecting on your feelings into this. I was a part of the LGB community in the past. But it lacks respect for the story. Can you imagine a story about 2 gay men and straight people going to claim their story then the internet would go crazy. You're free to think what you want to think. But just let straight men be straight and gay men be gay.

Loveee this episode, favorite of mine of the season and in my top 5 of the whole show. Im so glad you caught the subtext here, for sure it felt like so much talking for the LGBTQ+ community here, with the fear, the "you have to hide it" or the "Please don't think different of me" and such. Me being a part of the community I felt very much identified with this storyline and I love that so much! Aside all of that, still is an amazing episode that focuses on how everyone feels about Merlin and I looooove that, you see how strong their relationships are, and Im loving how you can ship everyone with everyone and you be happy with it although my top pairing is Merlin+Arthur and Gwen+Lancelot, (the spark they had uff...) Every character in this show is lovable in one way or another, really wholesome show for me, I can just watch it and have a smile all the way through with some very good laughs along the way, and Im glad you're feeling the same. Can't wait for the next one, like that one very much too. Ps: the ship for Merlin and Arthur is called "Merthur"
