Psi-Cops don't have carte blanche over everyone's brain, but even having it over every lesser telepath's brain is bad enough. This is an important bit of world-building for B5. So is Katherine's little adventure! Andrea Thompson and Jerry Doyle (Talia Winters and Michael Garibaldi) were only married two years but they do have a child (no name or sex given in article I read, nor did the two ever publicly give a reason for their split).

HAHAHA I can well imagine Garibaldi's thoughts that were read by Bester had something to do with G breaking a lower appendage off in a certain part of B's anatomy. Maybe one day he'll really try it!

This is one of my favorite episodes also. I love G'kar's conversation at the end with the analogy to ants. And the suggestion, "No one here is exactly what he seems" suggests lots of room for development of characters. It's great to see the introduction of Waler Koenig's character, Bester. You can tell JMS is a true science fiction fan by his choice of the name for this character. Alfred Bester was one of the great science fiction writers of the 1940s - 1980s and his most famous novel was about telepaths. Walter Koenig's portrayal of the character is fantastic. He feared being typecast as Chekov from Star Trek but in the first minute of his performance in this episode, he made me forget about Chekov and I saw only Bester! The scene in the beginning between Talia and Garibaldi in the elevator is made even more funny by the fact that the two actors later married.
