About the break in situation, I believe (not sure) that they can do that if 1. Someone inside the house is in danger or 2. You have a full positive description of a suspect and that suspect is inside the house. Anyway, Im really into this kind of mystery/ suspense shows, although it has so many cliches already in pretty much every character and that makes me wonder if people often acts based only of what they know is expected like “oh my life sucks so I have to be abusive to my family and get a beer while Im at it” (the father if the victim) and so with the rest of them. I do love when a show starts with expected moments and later on flip the table into much interesting storylines so Im hoping that happens here. About that poor girl, I did expected her to die, but at first I thought she wold killed herself because the line”Im gonna miss you” but, I got that wrong.I already have a suspect but lets see how thins play out. See you in the next one🙌🏻

I know this is way late, but I just realized you reacted to this show. Not sure you will see this, and maybe you know this by now, but this is set in Delaware County (Delco), PA. It's the county south of Philly. I grew up there. It's very realistic to the area. It's actually not a small town. It's a very heavily populated area in between two cities Philly and Wilmington, DE, but most people have lived there for generations. So everyone knows everyone, or knows someone else you also know. But anyway, that is the accent that Kate and others actors in the series are doing. They aren't perfect at it but it's pretty good. Like most people say wooder instead of water. Tina Fey is actually from Delco, an she does a very good Philly/Delco accent. Also, maybe it's not the case everywhere, but most people named Mary are called Mare for short in that area. So, I always assumed that it's a nickname, but maybe not.
