This time I would like to express a tribute to the writer of this episode, Robbie Thompson. Of all the tv shows that I’ve seen, never have I followed the roster of who writes what episode except for Supernatural. And as for Robbie, never have I cried copious tears for a tv writer like when he ended his tenure with Supernatural in S11. (When Ben Edlund left he didn’t tell us so we didn’t know, he was suddenly not on rotation). Robbie is an exceptional writer. Every season there would be at least one episode that he wrote that will be un-f**king-believably good, in my opinion. This is his Supernatural's cherry episode and he pops it out of the park. Before he joined the writing staff, he watched every episode for the first six seasons and was shocked at how emotional the story was. He said he came for the monsters, but stayed for the drama. Later on this season, there will be another 2 more episodes that he wrote and they were also very, very good. Robbie was very fandom savvy and he knows what fans like as he is also a fan of the series, and we were very lucky to have him as one of the Supernatural writers. When he left Supernatural, he went on to become a writer for Marvel Comics. Robbie’s last season was S11, and before he left Supernatural, he wrote 2 of the very best among the best of Supernatural’s 327 episodes. One of them is Jensen’s favorite to film, which he still talks about it at conventions. Two days after his swan song episode aired, Robbie tweeted that that was his last one. We fans who haven’t come down from the euphoria high of his last episode were devastated by this news and I am not going to lie, I cried buckets.

The whole Amy thing is a no win situation. The thing I hold on to in my support of Dean is that Amy did kill at least 3 people. Yes, she did it for her child, but does that mean it's okay? I can understand the dilemma. Would everyone make the same choice? Kill people to save their child? Good question. The tipper here is that Amy is not human. He kind live off of killing people. It would be easier for them to give into the need than a human, you'd think. Easier for them to justify it. So. If I came across someone who was killing people to save their child, I'd work to get them arrested. The child might die though. So there's really no win. Especially if being arrested isn't an option. Dean has already decided that he was going to have to make those tough decisions and suffer the consequences. Doesn't mean he wants to do it. I'm sure he'd love NOT having to do it, but he's decided that it's part of his role. To do those things others can't.
