I'm so glad you did this show! Absolutely one of my favorite TV shows. And I love this episode so much. The whole ending sequence where Gilbert and Anne get together is so good, and I'm so happy it finally worked out! And the Matthew storyline is good. I can totally see him reacting that way, but he comes out and says something, just like always. And then so many small things, like the blue dress that Marilla made! The same Marilla from the first episode who completely shut down the idea of colors or puffed sleeves made that dress for Anne... And for some reason the first scene at the boarding house makes me really happy. I think because all the girls come running into Anne's room and actively seek her out, and it makes me feel like she really has a friend group for college. So many good things about this episode... Unfortunately the creator of the show has said that Kakwet's storyline realistically would have ended in episode 9. She said this after the show ended, so maybe they would have done something with it next season, but she has said that in real life, she would have been in that school until she was an adult. Those schools were open until the 1990s. Other than that though, I really love this episode, and I think it was a good way to end the series. That said, I still haven't given up the renewal :)
