Fitz issues with his father were never directly stated by the show but like Simmons said he left when Fitz was 10 so he wouldn't still be talking about him. But ever since the first season Fitz has mentioned that it was just him and his mother (we actually got to see a real pic of Ian and his mom this episode when Fitz was in his bed) We just never knew why. When he was with Donnie (ice guy) in 1x12 he also agreed when Donnie talked about his father thinking he wasn't smart. If you noticed the logo at the start of the episode is robotic just like how it was flamed up when ghost rider was here because unlike previous seasons this season has 3 different arcs. The ghost rider arc, The LMD arc and the last arc we have yet to explore. Daisy at the start of the season was trying so hard to be skye she went back to her van and was alone for so long. Her saying to billy that they are the same person is interesting. She doesn't realize how much she has changed.
