HexCorp Merch Store

The new HexCorp merch store launched, as a collaboration between myself and XANTRONIX! Unlike the previous setup which was always a bit on the ‘it’s fine’ side, this new site is way more specialized for exactly what we need for making the dronification-themed techwear-esq fashion that I personally want to own.

There’s a couple more things still in development, and I’m looking forward to getting into a more professional cycle of ‘design’ -> ‘order test sample’ -> ‘model test sample if good’ -> ‘sell’. This new site also allows me to display pictures of drones modelling the clothing on the product pages, which I am very eager to do!

Drone Productivity Enforcement Loop

Last time I wrote one of these, I was midway through working on a file designed to be listened to while you go about your productivity. Since then, I have rerecorded the entire thing, focusing particular on getting the pronunciation of every word perfect. This took about two months.

I have a backing track (thanks to Molly Noise) and tones designed to condition the drones listening (thanks to Oxie). I’ve also arranged approximately 1/6th of it. I can fairly confidently say that this will be delivered in the first half of December, unless some form of disaster occurs. I have put so much of this year into making this file work, so I am really hopeful it will deliver the immersive dronification experience that I want it to.

Edit 15th of December: Disaster did indeed strike and I've had Covid for 2 weeks. I should not have jinxed it.

HexCorp Photography and Video

Oh gosh, where to begin with this.

October was *hectic*. I’ve fully lost track of how much work was created during that month. Even after spending part of this month getting through the work we created there and posting it, I still have 10 photosets/videos that need editing and posting.

We’re also taking a bit of a different approach going forward.

For the foreseeable future, I’m just going to be working with Trin/Petrichor. We’re going to work alternately so that every week we are either making videos/photos for them, or for me. This will cut in half the amount of stuff I’m creating that I can post, but it will also mean I can create things that we normally wouldn’t be making because of the limitations of the sites they want to post on. AKA, stuff which goes way heavier into the dronification mind control side. Even if you're not a patron here, I'm looking forward to getting the trailer clips for socials absolutely blissful.

VRC VTubing Dronification Stream Things

This is something I’m still learning to perfect, but I’ve been enjoying making the Twitch streams more and more mesmerizing and more focused on the reconditioning of assets who would happen to stumble upon them. It’s partly a hobby thing that I'm doing in my spare time, just putting in the hours and adding more and more elements until it becomes completely irresistible.

I also have full body tracking now and for a drone who has zero ability to expression emotions with a so-called 'face', this is a game changer. Body language includes: wiggling, marching mindlessly, stepping on drones, leaning really close into the camera with a spiral on my visor and wiggling.

It is at a bit of an inconvenient time, but it is the best time for me to stream without it cutting into the work I need to do here. This is all just something I thought I’d mention!

Social Media

Last time I wrote one of these, I spoke about the fracturing social media landscape and how I was testing each site to see their cons/pros.

Well after all that, I’ve realized that I just cannot function if I’m having to look after 6 websites at the same time.

Instead, I have defaulted back to mostly just Twitter for the time being. I do still post to Insta occasionally too. Being able to focus on the community all in the same place is just so much better for my brain than having to check 5 other websites to see the comments on each post.

It also means I’ve been able to get back to my shitposting, which I have missed oh so much.

So, darling assets, I hope you continue to be so good and productive. I'd tell you to leave your thoughts in he comments below but you really shouldn't be having any of those. So how about a simple 'Good Drones Obey' instead? ♥
