Video :: Pendulum (WIP) (Patreon)

Hello, cutie drones and those of you who are about to watch this video. Hex here.

So, this is a whole new ballpark for me. I've taken video before, but always just small clips to use as jokes. This was experimenting with just leaving a camera on and performing for it. I got to find out what worked and what didn't, and I am a lot more confident making this sort of thing in future.

I'm going to be using Google Drive for sharing these, as that seems to preserve the quality. I have had a lot of trouble with Twitter/Vimeo/Youtube in the past really butchering how these look and apparently it's not just me who experiences this. For now though, this allows me to share these to the Patreon, and as we all know that's all that really matters.

I've got a lot to learn here in regards to editing, sound design, camera angles and lighting for video, but I'm really looking forward to making more like this. I've listed this as a WIP as I also want to add voice to my videos, narrating the proceedings. Or, in this case, easing you into slowly dropping for the crystal. I'm currently experimenting with getting something as GLaDOS-esq as possible.

Future ideas currently include:
-The Hive Mxtress kneeling before the camera and demonstrating how to shine latex.
-A maid drone being activated, running over its systems as a voice runs diagnostic checks, before it is commanded to tidy the room and is subsequently deactivated.
