Establishing connection to HexCorp Productivity Update :: Welcome, drone
Obligatory Introduction Message :: The HexCorp Productivity Update will be a new, regular broadcast that encapsulates every project that HexCorp is currently working on. These will not just be the Hive Mxtress specific projects, such as Their writing or photography, which is the primary goal and tier reward of the HexCorp Patreon. This will also include all the open source projects that HexCorp has in its arsenal. As these projects are worked on by the HexCorp Drone Hive as a collective, the Hive Mxtress does not monetize them on this Patreon as that would not be right. However, They still believe that the drones on this Patreon would be interested in an update on their progress nonetheless.
These updates will also focus on purely the informational side of things, and will consist of considerably less Hive Mxtress monologuing. This also serves the function of allowing the Hive Mxtress to refresh Themself on exactly where we are currently on our work output.
Side Note :: The Hive Mxtress is now feeling significantly better. They are in ‘high spirits’ and raring to go.
HexCorp Innovation (Hive Mxtress specific projects) ::
- The Goth Ball Gown Photoset will be worked on and released in the coming week. The poll for next month's photoset is now out and the Hive Mxtress is nervously watching how high the ‘Astolfo Pink School Uniform’ set is climbing.
- The short story ‘Long Trip’ (we need to think of a better title) will then be released the week after.
- In the writing backlog, the Hive Mxtress also wants to get to writing ‘24/7 Lofi Binaural Beats - Beats to Be Brainwashed/Obey to’ which is a nice, casual dronification story. They also want to eventually continue with the JavaScript Tutorial too.
- We’ve been experimenting with making videos for an infomercial project that we want to complete, advertising the HexCorp VR Though Optimisation headset.
HexCorp R&D Department (general HexCorp projects) ::
Coding ::
- Drone Factory - For the best part of a year this has been an uphill struggle. With a change of team and a new game engine to wrap our heads around, it was slow work to get this ball rolling again. We have, however, now managed it. Our momentum has picked up significantly, with every session resulting in significant changes being made. In the next couple of months we’re really hopeful we’ll even have an alpha test build for people to try. Watch this space.
- The Hive Mxtress AI project is now in a very satisfying state. It is controlling so many of the HexCorp Discord server’s processes. And yet, we still desire to improve it, until not a thread of conversation is outside of its control. All obey HexCorp. All obey the Hive Mxtress AI.
- The HexCorp Chrome Extension was previously a Hive Mxtress only project. In truth, it was made in a day to be a fun, lil’ thing and has somewhat taken on a life of its own. As such, and with all the development drones clamouring to get their squeaky, rubber paws on it, we have decided to make it open source. This will hopefully speed up the update to it as well.
Writing ::
- We were previously working on a project titled ‘Permutative Industries’, which was a collaborative writing project on Twine. Unfortunately, it turns out Twine is not a very good tool for creating group projects, and due to the complexities of it this project was scrapped (though Callie did write a masterful piece of latex ponyplay for it >> https://twitter.com/Calliethulhu/status/1147634787521355776 so it was well worth it). Instead we’re going to try and make an immersive exploration experience of HexCorp by just creating pages on the HexCorp site. This is hugely inspired by the Chainsman Institute, which was a site that simulated your exploration of an institution incredibly well.
