The 2024 Update - News and Thank Yous (Patreon)

Hi, everyone! Happy New Year!

To keep things brief, 2023 was a really interesting and productive time for me– much more so than 2021 and 2022. It was what I'd call a bit of a transition year as I shifted to splitting my time between making assets for other artists and working on my own art.

So I'd like to thank you guys a ton for supporting me in that venture and helping me find success and consistency on both fronts with your feedback and suggestions. It feels really good to be back in a sort of routine with this hobby and I'm very much looking forward to continuing all that with you this year! 

Right now my plan is to stay the course, but there are a few small changes and news items I'd like to go over with you guys.

New Poll Schedule

Polls seemed to be somewhat confusing for higher-tier patrons and clunky for me to throw out all at once at the beginning of each month. Votes would often be split between the regular polls and bonus polls, so $2 and $5 patrons would vote in one or the other but rarely both as intended.

To combat this, bonus polls will be posted a few days after the regular polls instead of at the same time. Hopefully this will be less confusing, but please feel free to suggest any other ideas to help make the votes easier for you guys.

More Discord Content

Needless to say this is an area that could still use a lot of work on my part. Now that Patreon has fixed their bot a bit, however, I feel much better about using Discord more for patron rewards. So there will be a few additions coming including the following:

• A new channel for ZSE WIPs (including non-Patreon ZSE packs)
• A new channel for Image WIPs (including non-Patreon images)
• More posts from me about free resources and images/animations that I think you might like
• Alerts for new posts (on X/Twitter, possibly Patreon)

If you guys would like to see anything else on Discord, please feel free to suggest it in the comments.
