The Great 2020 Update Post (Patreon)

Hello, everyone!

Firstly, as always, thank you very much for your continued support. I've been able to stumble through this hobby far longer than I ever expected thanks to you guys, and I will always be grateful for that. I hope my content in the coming months will continue to be to your liking.

We're a good portion of the way through 2020 now, so I believe it's once again time for a proper update post on the state of the page. Lots of small but important bits to share.

1. Computer Upgrade Complete, Blender Content Actually Coming

This has taken far longer than I would have liked thanks to financial struggles within the past couple of years. But, in no small part thanks to your generous contributions, I've finally rebuilt my computer with almost entirely new parts.

What this means for you guys is that I'm now able to work faster in Daz and– far more importantly– actually start putting out Blender content to slowly replace my SFM stuff. SFM content will not disappear 100% by a certain date like I originally envisioned, but I want to stop using it for anything other than commissions and maybe...

2. Ultra Monthly Polls III: The Third Vote-ening - ARCADE EDITION

This! Monthly polls are coming back again starting in April. Just like last year, but hopefully not for just two or three months.

But I'm changing the format once again.

The poll will no longer exclusively be for animations– image sets done in Daz and Blender will now be part of these as well. This should allow me some flexibility each month and an opportunity to diversify patron rewards.

Of course, I'll try to let you guys know ahead of time when it'll be an animation and when it'll be an image or image set.

3. Changes to Patron Perks/Commissions

Two major things to cover here.

• Long animation commissions are still closed until further notice. Current long animation commissions are still being worked on.

I guess this isn't really a change in itself, but I'd consider it a change of plans. My main priority is finishing the long animation commissins already on my list. If you're one of the three commissioners who owns one of those slots, I'm still working on them! After that is up in the air. In the meantime, short animations and images are available as usual.

• Commission discounts are going away for $1 and $2 pledges, new perks will eventually replace them.

The discount scaling was really wonky for low pledges, so I'm removing those tiers' discounts for now and going back to the drawing board. $10 pledges will keep a revised discount to be announced later.

4. Streams Coming Soon?

This one isn't 100% decided, but it's still worth mentioning. 

Since I have better hardware now, I'm very interested in doing streams where you can watch me work on various projects and chat.

I'm not sure whether these should be patron-exclusive or not, but I'm open to suggestions. Please let me know if you guys have any ideas about how I should do these!

5. Other Changes?

There are a few other things I'd like to change significantly in the future, but I'm not ready to share any plans just yet. Here's a small list of what you can possibly expect to change at some point this year.

• Tiers and Tier Prices (need to be different enough)
• Reward Access Method (needs to be simpler)
• My Dead Discord (needs to be not as dead/useless)
• Patron Influence on Projects (probably needs to be higher because you guys are cool and have cool ideas)
