TIME LAPSE: Secret Santa (Patreon)

Here's a timelapse of the piece I made for a Secret Santa we did with friends this year! This was probably my first time painting northern lights, and you can see it took me some time to figure out how to achieve the right kind of look. It was surprisingly tricky but I like how it turned out in the end even though I wish I had more time to focus on polishing the details. These past couple of months have been so busy that I knew I had to try achieve a clean look with lesser detail, which actually felt like requiring more thinking than when allowing myself to spend hours on one thing! 😂 So it was definitely something I apparently needed, and if possible I'll be trying out a similar kind of practice soon.
