A shorter video this time but it was a fun process that I wanted to share with you! Mainly because of what I think has just recently elevated my lineart (a very rough one in this case) and shading, which is the use of ambient occlusion (those shadowy areas I colored black). It's something I have tried to pay more attention to when studying a figure, and I'm slowly gaining more courage to implement the stark shadows into my work. Especially when I want to add some dimension to a clean sketch like this where I can exaggerate the effect! Maybe this is something I could dive deeper into in a future post? 🤔

Here's the end result of this sketch of my secondary sona Pit! I have been lowkey toying with an idea of a hare version of him (he's usually a jackalope) to match my partner's raccoon sona but I'm not completely sure about it yet.

Oh and also, what do you think of the update schedule here? I know it's been only a few posts so far, but is multiple posts a week like this too much? Or too little? 👀 I would love to hear your thoughts on this, and I'm always open for any feedback and suggestions!

Lastly but in this case most importantly, a MASSIVE thank you to everyone who has joined this art corner of mine! 😭💛 This is literally insane and life changing to be completely honest. ;; Words really can't describe how much this support means to me, thank you SO much!! I really hope that I can continue improving this page and make it something that keeps creating and enjoying art fun.
