Jadis didn't ask for this, it was far too soon for her to be addressing the village. She could hear the muttering of the crowd outside her home, eagerly waiting her to give them....something, hope perhaps?

Either way, at least she has her closest friend to offer her some support before she must face her people and give them something to raise their spirits after recent events. 

So yeah, a little backstory for Jadis without giving too much away, hopefully it will be revealed when the comic reaches their village ^^
