Mid-April Update! (Patreon)

Hey everyone!

We've officially hit 60 patrons! I really appreciate the support of each and every one of you. I am going to start looking for an artist to commission a cover for Mana & Mayhem.

On Mana & Mayhem and schedules in general, I talked briefly about the schedule in other posts, but let me expand a bit on that.

The chapter days for Manabound will not be changing, however, the posts will be a bit later than usual next week due to my work schedule. I don't really like scheduling, just because I like to be available if something goes wrong. Darn Patreon.

I am working to get caught up for both stories, but with chapter 13 of Mayhem, I have "won" writathon. So, I will be releasing one full chapter a week with bonus chapters here-and-there until the book is completed.

I will still be splitting that chapter for RoyalRoad so that they get two half-chapters a week. The goal is to finish that book before my big trip to Korea this summer.

About that! I will be traveling to South Korea for an extended business trip over the summer and into fall. Great thing about it, is I will have tons of time to write while there.

So, before the summer is out, I hope to have Mayhem Book 1 done, Manabound Book 1 done with its rewrite, and starting the edits for book 2--which are significantly less intensive than book 1's.

I have been in talks with a publisher, and while nothing is set in stone, one thing they are suggesting is adding more litrpg elements to the story, mainly book 1 and 2. I have thought of a minimalist way to do that, and you guys will see this in the book 1 rewrite, and I will likely try and tie it into book 4 as I write it. The rest of the books will get it as I do their edits.

Hint: It involves Sloane's watch.

I have a few ideas for side stories, but those will come after Mayhem is complete as that is a larger project than I had foreseen. So, to compensate, advanced Mayhem chapters will go to Artificers first, then then as the backlog builds up, I will try to stay at least one chapter ahead for tinkerers, but no promises. I don't want Manabound to fall behind. But we only have 8 chapters until the book is done.

Now that you've gotten the chapter, I plan on writing a side story from Gisele's point of view for what happens after the knights leave Sloane.

One thing I would be interested from you guys, is for you to toss some comments of ideas for side stories you'd enjoy. I think I like side stories at least two steps away from the main story, but if you have an idea that is just awesome from side characters, let me know!

Anyways, thanks again for all of your support, it means the world to me. The next push goal is 75 patrons, and I will commission some art of a teenaged Gwyn looking all badass.

Almost forgot, admin week happens next week! Which I am going to try and use to work on book 1 edits.

Mayhem will still be posted, just cause we're in the last third of the book and I am excited to see the end. 😅
